Navel

Probably original of China, spreading to Brazil from Portugal. The fruits of the group of the Navels are characterized for not having seeds, are of great size, the rind is of easily peeled, possesses an intense orange colour and a sweet and agreeable flavour. They are developed from early varieties like Newhall and Navelinas, passing for the variety Washington, which is considered the more important, up to the late Navel.
The period of production spreads from the middle of May until middle of August.
